Black & White -‘Print Room’ Technique / ‘Print room’ Serviettentechnik in Schwarz und Weiß.

Since a very long time, I desired to try out ‘print room’ technique. I have searched for the right motif but I could not find the one I really liked.
Some time ago browsing through hundreds of napkins I have dug out one design in three colors: black, red and blue. I have seen many works in print room style but the black and white colors are most to my liking. When I was in a ‘tee jar mode’ I decided to make some for myself in this design.  :)
It was a very interesting project. I was completely lost for many hours in cutting precisely the motif  and making my own composition. And the floor… hmmm… many days afterwards I was still hoovering small pieces of cut-out napkin which kept showing up from nowhere. :D It was a very interesting project. I was completely lost for many hours in cutting precisely the motif  and making my own composition. :)

It is really handy to have such a jar. This one keeps my favorite tea fresh and within reach. :)

The motif is arranged in a way to make it wholly surrounding the jar in one closed composition.

Decorating in ‘print room’ technique requires lots of patience and attention to details. ;)

Have you tried the ‘print room’ technique? How did you find it, what are you favorite colors? :)
